From Delhi to Oceano to Menifee by Jesse

August 31- September 6

This week was a working week. On Monday we took down the canopy and our tent. It was hard taking down the canopy and fitting it back into the box. Same with the tent; it took five attempts for me to put it back in the bag. We were working in the sun too. So I got kinda mad when it did not fit the third time. But that was all the work we did that day. There was loading we had to do the next morning because tomorrow was the day we were leaving. Since our tent was packed up we slept in the fifth wheel. On Tuesday we got up early to start packing up the trailer. It took time since we had to load our bikes, chairs, tables and our scooters in the back of the fifth with everything else. My job was to do the sewer hose that connects to the ground and our fifth wheel, it was disgusting. We got it done in about an hour and then Mom hitched the trailer. And we were off to our next destination: the land of the dunes. it was called Pacific Dunes Ranch. It was four hours away. But, the view was amazing. I saw the big wide open field with the big mountains surrounding it. And when we were passing by San Luis Obispo I saw the endless water going all the way to the horizon. And I saw people parachuting in the sky. That was fun to watch. We finally arrived at the RV Park. Dad parked the fifth wheel. We set up the tent. We had given the canopy away because there was not room for it. We were all exsausted but we went into our warm cozy beds in the night. After school work the next day I got to ride my bike. I like going super-fast down the hill we were on. Dad gave us walkie talkies so we can go farther than usual. We went to the church that Aunt Jess and Uncle Bobby go to. I play the wii here and there after I read for an hour. And Saturday was father’s day in Australia. Since we did not have father’s day on the normal date I made him a card, he liked it that is all I care about. This was my week, see you in the future.

September 7-13

The first few days of the week were normal. We are still in the Pacific Dunes RV Park. On Wednesday Dad took David and I to the dunes. We climbed them, rolled down them, ran on them and we found a spot of wet sand that we could build in. When we were done playing in the sand dunes we were covered head to toe with sand. We had to take a shower in order to go to church that night. The next day, my whole family saw elephant seals lined up on the beach. They were all fat and big. Male seals can weigh up to 5,000 lbs, which weighs more than our truck. And female seals can weigh up to 1,800 lbs that weighs more than my whole family put together, ha. Then we went to the Botanical Garden. Wait, before we went to the garden we saw a dead seal on the beach where we ate lunch, I poked it one time with my finger. The Garden had many weird names for all different flowers. Like scarlet paint brush, purple smoke tree, things like that. The Garden even had an old fashion water pump. That was an interesting day. On Saturday Aunt Jess and Uncle Bobby and Aunt Kelly came over. We had lots of fun, Dad grilled hot dogs and hamburgers. We ate lunch and David and Veronica rode on their bikes while I rode on my scooter because my bike had a flat tire. Aunt Jess and Uncle Bobby had a fun time with the walkie talkies. Then they had to leave with Aunt Kelly. The next day we went to church. We saw them for the last time in a long time. And I said to myself if I don’t see you again I will see you on the other side. Well that is all for this week.

September 14-20

The first day of this week we had to pack up camp to move to our next destination. The only thing we really packed up was our tent the table that had the grill and propane and some chairs. But the next day we were everywhere, either doing this or doing that. We all helped load the trailer with the stuff that was outside. Finally Mom hitched the truck to the trailer. We pulled out and we had a five hour drive ahead of us. We had great views from the ocean like the oil platforms and the hills and I saw this big long bridge that was going to a tiny island.

Those were some of the sights that were cool. We stopped one time in those five hours believe it or not. And at that stop we ate a tiny lunch because we had to move. Then after a long time (or what seemed like a long time) we finally arrived at the RV Park named Wilderness Lakes. It has a pool, tennis court, pond to fish in and I was excited to fish in the pond since I have a fishing pole. We pulled into any parking space we wanted. My job was to set up the sewer, it was disgusting. But when I finished it I helped with unloading the trailer. Once everything was in place we ate dinner. I went to bed ready for the next day. Well the next day came and I got to give a devotional to my family since we were not going to go on a 45 minute drive to the church at night. It was from Psalm 18:1-6. It was about ten minutes, but you should look up the verses in your bible (King James Version). Friday, we met new kids that we were first shy with but then when we got to know them we had fun. We played with our Legos, learned new stuff from them and learned more about them. That day we played in the pool together with the five kids. We were all having fun. But we had to go home and have dinner. That day was a memory that will not be lost by me. The next day we played with them some more. We could sit at the table with Legos everywhere and play with them for hours on end. During the week we had to do our school work of course, in order to go out and play. On Sunday we went to a new church that was First Missionary Baptist Church in Redlands. It was 45 minutes from where we are staying. There were about 3 or 4 little kids. It was cool, I listened to the services and was good. After church we played with our friends. One is my age. It was a fun week. That is all we did this week. See you in the future of my next blog, ciao!
