Ian’s Perspective

Well, what can I say, writing is not my strong point and we are coming up to the two-month mark since we left the central valley of California already! I must say so far life is great. As I start this blog entry I am sitting on the back porch area of our fifth wheel in Oakzanita Springs looking at the great view and watching the kids playing outside.

Will start the post with a disclaimer and warning as some of what I may write may upset a reader or two. But being an Australian I believe in saying what needs to be said. Some of you may be thinking, “But he hardly ever spoke!” Well, there may be a reason for this ha ha.

Just a quick run down from the beginning, we left our sticks and bricks home in Riverbank June 29th and went to the Merced River RV Park in Delhi where we stayed until September 1st. I stayed at work till August 7th and was fair counting down the days till then. I was so glad for that date to come and leave my job. August 29th we had a going away shindig at a park in Turlock. Everyone kept asking Jennie if we were going to do something for everyone to say goodbye to the kids and us before we hit the road. So Jennie decided to organize one. Well, about a week before the 29th Jennie had about 75 plus people coming. It ended up being around 12 adults and a handful of kids. Within 5 days well over 50 people canceled. I must say this was disappointing for Jennie and I will be honest some of the reasons were just outright lame. But you do find out from these things who your true friends really are. To those who came, thanks! It was an enjoyable time had by all.

September 1st arrived and we packed up and really headed off on our grand adventure. We headed off to Oceano which is of course down on the pacific coastline about half way between San Francisco and LA. We got there and had an added bonus that the sites were pull through so no backing of the trailer was needed. Still being new to this lifestyle it did cost us $100 and a lesson on how to unhook the trailer from the hitch. It was an expensive lesson to learn but one we definitely learned. The spots were really narrow and not a site we will go back to in the future. We went down to the coast to be close to Jennie’s best friend for a couple of weeks before we pushed off to the next area. Plus, we both love this area and have gone down at least once a year. Some of the sunsets in this area were great and it was nice to be in cooler weather at last. But for the money we paid for the site for two weeks I am not sure it was really worth the money for what we wanted to get out of this two weeks because once again it felt like people just did not want to take much time out of their schedules to see the kids or Jennie for the last time in what will be a very long time before we are back this way.

September 15th rolled around and we packed up the site and headed off to our next campsite called Wilderness Lakes in a small town called Menifee, about an hour and a half east of LA. Jennie was given the keys to the truck and drove us out. The plan was Jennie would drive part of the trip then I would take over after lunch. That plan never worked out as between Oceano and Wilderness Lake there was not one rest area or gas station big enough to take our truck and trailer. So Jennie drove non-stop for 5 hours before we did come to a gas station we could use. (This gas station was only 30 minutes from our destination.) Must say Jennie did a great job, and a bonus at the end of a long drive to the new destination was that we had again had a pull through site. We were there for three weeks and I think I can speak for the whole family that we had a good three weeks. We met another full time family and the kids all seemed to hit it off and started to play well with each other. It was also good to hook up early with another family who is living the same lifestyle as us and learn some of what will be happening in the future including safer roads to travel coming into winter.

One of the main reasons for the stop in this area was that Legoland was just over an hour away. We got a great deal of five days for the price of one which included the Legoland water park, Legoland aquarium and Legoland Park itself.  Ever since I was a kid I dreamed of going to Legoland and of course Jesse and David are both fair into their Legos as well. So I was looking forward to five days of checking this place out. The first day we just did Legoland itself and after just 2 hours there was a look of disappointment on not just my face but also the kids’ faces. Already Legoland was turning into a big let-down. And for Jesse to be let down just showed how disappointing the place was turning out to be as Jesse is a mad Lego freak who wants to even go and work for the Lego company. After lunch it got better as we hit Miniland USA. This is what I was expecting throughout the whole park not just a small section of it. The Star Wars section was great plus the area of major centers in the USA. We spent the afternoon checking out this area of the park. The next day we went to the aquarium which was kind of cool seeing Lego pieces in the tanks with the fish and sharks. The rest of the day was spent at the water park where the kids enjoyed getting wet, but even Jesse who is a water freak said it was not very good. The third and last day we went we checked out the rest of Legoland we never saw on day one. Yes, we only spent three of the five days there as we had already seen the whole park. Overall Legoland was a disappointment and is geared for kids under 10 years old. All the rides are tame and good for little kids, but that is it. So if you have kids under 10 it is maybe worth the time to go but otherwise, use the money you want to spend at Legoland and go to Disneyland instead.

Next stop on our trip was to Oakzanita Springs which is about an hour East of San Diego up in the hills. Most of the trip there was on nice two to four-lane freeways. The last 10 miles however, was on single lane, twisty road going up hills. We got to the campsite fine, taking it nice and slow and steady. The camp site is on the side of a hill and has no pull through sites so this time the trailer had to be backed in. Since we were on a side of a hill that meant we had to back it in going down a hill and then get it on the pad area. So the first time I have ever backed a trailer I had an added bonus of it being on a hill and a very uneven job of getting it where we wanted. After about 15 minutes with the great help of Jennie guiding me, we got the trailer where we wanted it. The park is very nice and quiet. We spent three relaxing weeks and also did a few day trips out around the area. We went down to San Diego a few times and did the Creation museum with our new friends we met at Wilderness Lakes. We also went with them to a pumpkin patch for the day. Now, I hate pumpkin so looking at 100s of pumpkins did nothing for me but the rest of the family enjoyed it so that’s what counts.

Also in our three weeks there we did the museum of natural history and the science museum. The science museum was fun as it was all hands on and the kids had a blast. Then I guess there was a school trip came in and well, that destroyed it for us. Why are kids so ill-mannered these days? If I behaved like these kids when I was a kid I would have got strung up and that would have been by the teacher let alone what my parents would have done to me when they found out.  Society today seems to think it acceptable to let kids do whatever they want. Sorry society, my kids do not and will not behave like this. We also went to this old town up in the hills called Julian. We went to a gold mine and went on a tour. It was good to walk through an old gold mine to just see what the conditions were like. Plus we got to pan for gold and learn the best way to do that.Phone Ian 227

Now as I finish writing this we are in Palm Springs; we will be here for two weeks. The land of the desert and palm trees and already had our first sand storm. We are hoping to get to a national park near here and do a couple of other things as well. Oh and Palm springs is well known for summer time in recording some of the hottest days in the USA, thankfully it is not summer now and the temps are not too bad now.

September 21-27

We are still in Wilderness lakes that is in Menifee. This week has been really fun for me and my whole family. After my devotional Mom and Dad sat us down at the table that was outside of our fifth wheel and told us that we were going to spend the next five days at LEGOLAND. I cannot express my delight that was inside of me. We only went three times because one day Mom was sick and we had covered the whole park in three days. We could also trade in Lego people.  So on Thursday we did our normal routine and then got all of our stuff ready for Legoland. It was a 1 hour drive from Wilderness Lakes to LEGOLAND. When we arrived at the ticket gate the first song that came to my ears was the song from the Lego movie, it is called “Everything Is Awesome”. We showed our tickets and then got maps of the whole park; it was big and I thought it would not take three days to look at everything. The first ride we rode was the fairy tale brook. It had Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Three Little Pigs and other stuff. It was cool to watch the Lego built figures move. We walked thru the Lego Heart lake city and we wanted to go on the Sky Cruiser but it was closed. So we walked over to fun town, and the ride we rode in fun town was called “Driving School”. I liked that ride. It was fun; it had stop lights and stop signs. Then I went into the Lego Club house, I traded there with my own people. We moved on to the tiny tour of the Lego factory. That was the best part, seeing the pieces being made. I could have stood there for hours and watched the Legos being made. They had minifigure scale RV’s on the shelf, and a model of the Lego factory. When we finished, the next thing we did was go to the “Adventures’ Club”. That was cool seeing all the Lego built Egyptian stuff and other Lego buildings. After that I went on the “Captain Cranky’s Challenge”. It was not scary, I did not like the ride very much. Then we ate lunch on a table. But….the best place in the whole park….is…THE MINILAND USA!!!! It had  Las Vegas, New Orleans, New York, Southern California, San Francisco, Ferndale, Block of fame and Washington DC. NO WAIT THERES MORE!!! In the Star Wars area there is Lego Star Wars Gallery, Episode I: Naboo, Episode II: Geonosiss, Episode III Kashyyk and Mustafar, Episode IV: Tatooine, Episode V: Hoth, Episode Vi: Endor and there’s a lot more. After 2 hours of looking at that we went home. The best thing I liked was the Miniland USA; the least favorite was the Captain Cranky’s Challenge. We went home and ate dinner and then went to bed. On Saturday we wore our swim suits and brought fresh clothes. The reason why we were wearing swim suits is because we were going to play in the water park (in LegoLand) after we toured in the aquarium. We arrived at Legoland and then went into the aquarium which was next to LegoLand. We got a scavenger hunt paper that had questions that we would have to answer through the Museum. I saw sharks. Did you know that sharks can turn off parts of their brain. I saw seahorses, rays, and queensland grouper, jelly fish, yellow tang, bat fish, star fish and many more fish. Did you know seahorses do not have any teeth? I also got to pet some star fish in the petting area. At the end of my quiz I got 9 out of 10 correct. I turned it in at the gift shop, at the end of the Aquarium and I got a prize. It was a paper hat that had a scuba diver Lego person printed on it. We then entered LegoLand and went all the way to the water park. Mom and Dad enjoyed watching us play. We three kids went on water slides. There was this ride where you go down really fast into the water and you get soaking wet. There was the Chima water park, but the only thing I liked about it was the pool that had waves, but more people came in and the waves died down. Then it was time to leave before traffic got bad on the freeway. The best thing I liked about the aquarium was the Octopus and the sharks and the Lego models throughout the aquarium. The only thing I liked about the water park was the big slide and the pool that had waves. On Sunday we went to LEGOLAND and we mostly had everything covered except a couple of things. We went on the Coast cruise. It was fun, I liked the Lego bridges that I saw on the ride. We then went to the Lego show place. We watched a short tour of Lego Chima in 4-D. It was a cool pop out movie with feeling to it. I traded a Lego person for a pie guy. Then the next thing I did was the Lego Technic Coaster. That was the scariest ride of them all in Legoland. After that we ate lunch in Castle hill. After a filling lunch I went on “The Dragon”. It was not scary at all, it was refreshing wind. After that ride I went on the “Pharaoh’s Revenge”. It’s like Buzz Light Year in Disneyland where you shoot the targets with the lasers. Then that was pretty much it. The last thing we did was look in the big shop that was near the entrance. I bought a water bottle for a souvenir. I liked looking at all the Lego sets, big and small. But the greatest of them all was the coffee shop and a home put together in a big Lego set. We then left Legoland and went home. Out of all the rides and places we have been to in these three days were, the Miniland and the “Lego Technic Coaster”. Those were the two favorite things in Legoland. But the thing I liked doing along was trading my Lego people for other cool people. But I felt like there was something missing in Legoland. Yes, the sculptures were good, but still there was something missing. Well I know what Legoland looks like, and when someone ask me if I have been to LEGOLAND I will say yes. But on Sunday we saw the Eclipse at night. It was white at first then red, it was cool. We watched it with our friends that were at the park. These are the three pictures I picked for the blog out of a hundred.

The top is a bear leaning against some porta potties. The middle is the sky scrapers in the miniland. And the bottom is Cinderella that was from the Fairytale Brook I think. This is a lot for my blog.

September 28-October 4

The first few days of this week were our normal routine; we got up, wrote in our journals, ate breakfast, did our school work and played. I hate laundry days, because we have to carry the heavy bags full of clothes all the way to the laundry room, which is in the park. When they finish, we walk them all the way back to our trailer. But, on Friday night my friend’s family came over to watch National Treasures with us,on a TV we can hook up outside. On Saturday when I was riding my bike, I fell and I cut open my knee and skin came off on the other. I came back to the fifth wheel and took care of my leg. It hurt when I put pressure on it. So I have to take it easy for the next week or so. On Sunday we had some rain, which was good. We drank hot chocolate in the morning, and we stayed home from church because Veronica was sick. But we got to play board games and colored. That was a fun Sunday.

Well, I’ll write some more soon! I hope you’re enjoying my blogs.

From Delhi to Oceano to Menifee by Jesse

August 31- September 6

This week was a working week. On Monday we took down the canopy and our tent. It was hard taking down the canopy and fitting it back into the box. Same with the tent; it took five attempts for me to put it back in the bag. We were working in the sun too. So I got kinda mad when it did not fit the third time. But that was all the work we did that day. There was loading we had to do the next morning because tomorrow was the day we were leaving. Since our tent was packed up we slept in the fifth wheel. On Tuesday we got up early to start packing up the trailer. It took time since we had to load our bikes, chairs, tables and our scooters in the back of the fifth with everything else. My job was to do the sewer hose that connects to the ground and our fifth wheel, it was disgusting. We got it done in about an hour and then Mom hitched the trailer. And we were off to our next destination: the land of the dunes. it was called Pacific Dunes Ranch. It was four hours away. But, the view was amazing. I saw the big wide open field with the big mountains surrounding it. And when we were passing by San Luis Obispo I saw the endless water going all the way to the horizon. And I saw people parachuting in the sky. That was fun to watch. We finally arrived at the RV Park. Dad parked the fifth wheel. We set up the tent. We had given the canopy away because there was not room for it. We were all exsausted but we went into our warm cozy beds in the night. After school work the next day I got to ride my bike. I like going super-fast down the hill we were on. Dad gave us walkie talkies so we can go farther than usual. We went to the church that Aunt Jess and Uncle Bobby go to. I play the wii here and there after I read for an hour. And Saturday was father’s day in Australia. Since we did not have father’s day on the normal date I made him a card, he liked it that is all I care about. This was my week, see you in the future.

September 7-13

The first few days of the week were normal. We are still in the Pacific Dunes RV Park. On Wednesday Dad took David and I to the dunes. We climbed them, rolled down them, ran on them and we found a spot of wet sand that we could build in. When we were done playing in the sand dunes we were covered head to toe with sand. We had to take a shower in order to go to church that night. The next day, my whole family saw elephant seals lined up on the beach. They were all fat and big. Male seals can weigh up to 5,000 lbs, which weighs more than our truck. And female seals can weigh up to 1,800 lbs that weighs more than my whole family put together, ha. Then we went to the Botanical Garden. Wait, before we went to the garden we saw a dead seal on the beach where we ate lunch, I poked it one time with my finger. The Garden had many weird names for all different flowers. Like scarlet paint brush, purple smoke tree, things like that. The Garden even had an old fashion water pump. That was an interesting day. On Saturday Aunt Jess and Uncle Bobby and Aunt Kelly came over. We had lots of fun, Dad grilled hot dogs and hamburgers. We ate lunch and David and Veronica rode on their bikes while I rode on my scooter because my bike had a flat tire. Aunt Jess and Uncle Bobby had a fun time with the walkie talkies. Then they had to leave with Aunt Kelly. The next day we went to church. We saw them for the last time in a long time. And I said to myself if I don’t see you again I will see you on the other side. Well that is all for this week.

September 14-20

The first day of this week we had to pack up camp to move to our next destination. The only thing we really packed up was our tent the table that had the grill and propane and some chairs. But the next day we were everywhere, either doing this or doing that. We all helped load the trailer with the stuff that was outside. Finally Mom hitched the truck to the trailer. We pulled out and we had a five hour drive ahead of us. We had great views from the ocean like the oil platforms and the hills and I saw this big long bridge that was going to a tiny island.

IMG_1732

Those were some of the sights that were cool. We stopped one time in those five hours believe it or not. And at that stop we ate a tiny lunch because we had to move. Then after a long time (or what seemed like a long time) we finally arrived at the RV Park named Wilderness Lakes. It has a pool, tennis court, pond to fish in and I was excited to fish in the pond since I have a fishing pole. We pulled into any parking space we wanted. My job was to set up the sewer, it was disgusting. But when I finished it I helped with unloading the trailer. Once everything was in place we ate dinner. I went to bed ready for the next day. Well the next day came and I got to give a devotional to my family since we were not going to go on a 45 minute drive to the church at night. It was from Psalm 18:1-6. It was about ten minutes, but you should look up the verses in your bible (King James Version). Friday, we met new kids that we were first shy with but then when we got to know them we had fun. We played with our Legos, learned new stuff from them and learned more about them. That day we played in the pool together with the five kids. We were all having fun. But we had to go home and have dinner. That day was a memory that will not be lost by me. The next day we played with them some more. We could sit at the table with Legos everywhere and play with them for hours on end. During the week we had to do our school work of course, in order to go out and play. On Sunday we went to a new church that was First Missionary Baptist Church in Redlands. It was 45 minutes from where we are staying. There were about 3 or 4 little kids. It was cool, I listened to the services and was good. After church we played with our friends. One is my age. It was a fun week. That is all we did this week. See you in the future of my next blog, ciao!

My blog

August 10-16

This week we had fun. Every day after school we would play outside. All the while I would think about my Jesse’s birthday. I got into trouble sometimes.

August 17-23

This week I have done school work and I went to the Zoo of San Francisco. After the Zoo I felt very tired. I had no energy left to run. At all. That is silly is it not? I mean I like running of course. I thought it was silly. That was a few days ago. Also one time when I was playing with the Legos outside, I felt like I could faint it was crazy too! Anyway I had a lot of fun during the week. When I did my report I went to time out a lot, but the third time I went to the wall I thought and I thought, I can do this. I know I can. Don’t say I can’t cause I can. I did it; it just took me a long time to. Then near noon, I finally finished it.

All of us had a game of monopoly then when Jesse asked it was over we couldn’t play monopoly. Since Jesse and I felt hot, David wanted to bring the Legos inside. So we did. Then mom or dad had turned the music on. It ruffled through when it turned on; we all went like hey! That was funny. Ha!

Anyway I had fun this week. Felt sometimes tired and that I could faint. Had fun though, even though I said that a million times. Ha ha  ha!

August 30-September 3

Well, on Sunday I was pretty excited when it was only two days before, we were traveling. I mean I was pretty nervous. I felt like I was dizzy a little. That is all excitement my friends. Every moment on Monday I was the least unhappy. That means I was not unhappy at all! I helped pack up. I helped do everything that was needed to be done.

I am saved and God says to help with the thing that need to be done. I am sure that is right.

Hay now, finally the day has come. I was so excited. Dad drove us to our new campground in Oceano. Then, when we got there I helped sort out everything. Well then I stayed outside, and I watched the sun set. It was very beautiful. You should have been there.

The next day I started my days like normal ones. I did some schoolwork. Went food shopping then went back home. I also rode on my bike. Then I ate dinner and went to church. The next day is Thursday. Who knows what will happen. I feel a little clumpy about that one.

Last few days in Delhi…by Jesse

August 24-30

We are still at the RV Park in Delhi. This week has really fun. On Monday morning I used my fishing pole that Mom and Dad got me. I woke up at 6:30 to go fishing with the security lady. She taught me how to fish with a real fishing rod. It was really hard to keep the string untangled. But I caught a bass, catfish, and three blue gills. We fished for two hours. It was really fun waiting for a fish to bite the hook. After a while it was morning, so I said thank you and then left to the fifth wheel.

The same day Dad took us three kids swimming at the pool. It was perfect weather to go swimming. My brother took his floating Lego boat. It kind of floated but water still went on it. That was a fun day, but the other fun day was when the Salters came over. David and I tried to finish the Lego house we were building. We finished the whole house together but we did not finish the inside before they came. When they walked over we immediately played with our Legos. I showed them all that we had. We also went into the big field and played tag. We came back and forth. We had so much fun. But they only stayed until before lunch time. Mom and Mrs. Salters took pictures of us near the river. Those are the memories that will never be forgotten, all 9 of us standing there for the last time together. They left after many hugs and hugs. They drove off. I hope they felt welcomed too.

Well, then on Wednesday Mom and Dad bought us each bikes. That was awesome. But it was too hot to ride our bikes that day. But for school work we wrote a story about our bike. The next day in the morning after breakfast and we did our bible study, we three kids rode our bikes. It was fun, I was racing my brother. And I watched my sister learn how to ride her bike. He he he he. And Dad had me test our new walkie talkies by riding my bike really far away and talking in it. It worked. Now we can ride our bikes farther without Mom and Dad worrying so much.

This weekend when we had our going away party Mom was expecting about 90 people to come. Only nine adults and six kids came. It was still fun even with a little crowd. With a big crowd there would be too many people and not enough chairs, but a lot of food. The party was supposed to be a pot luck so everybody who came brought food.

See you guys in the future of my next blog.

Dear reader I write from Monday to Monday. We are still in Delhi living in our fifth wheel. This week I had my birthday; I turned thirteen. We went to Round Table for the lunch buffet. That was fun. Mom took pictures and put them on Facebook. So, most of you know about that day. After we ate pizza we went to get dessert. The dessert we ate was Ice cream. I got a banana split. I was not able to finish it because I was full with pizza. And that banana split Mom and Dad bought was $8! I just wasted half of that eight dollars. Well that was a good day. WAIT!!!! I forgot about the presents, what’s a birthday without a present? I got two police Lego sets. And the thing I was most excited about was the fishing pole Mom and Dad gave me. That was a fun day.

This week, I also went to the San Francisco Zoo. My whole family were members of the zoo only for one year. I saw lions, tigers, bears, bugs, monkeys, prairie dogs, goats, pigs, chickens, giraffes, zebras, polar bears, sea lions, otters and a snow leopard. I bet there were more animals that I can’t remember. It was fun seeing some of God’s creation:  animals.

Well, on Friday, we went to our friends’, the Salters, house. Their names are Jonathan, Benjamin, Rachel, Lydia, Noah and Naomi. They are all really kind, and every time I enter their house I feel welcomed. I like them a lot. When we got there we immediately played with Jonathan and Benjamin’s Legos. They have lots of Legos. Then, we played games and just hung out. After a while of playing we had to leave but we would see them next week. And I forgot to get their emails. This week has been fun. We still had to do school work this week. I got mine done in an reasonable time.

See you later folks who are reading my blog.

Routines…by Jesse

This week to me meant that we went back to our normal routine. We got up and did our normal morning stuff. But we had a daily routine that we follow, I just want to break that routine and start a new one every day. I had fun playing with my Legos, I build a lot and I like making my Lego cars or Lego houses one color. My brother makes them all kinds of different colors, and I don’t like that. We are still living in Delhi. but, not for long. We are leaving Delhi on September 1st. Before we leave we are having a party, where all our friends come over and we play with them for the last time. I wanted them to come over to the campground because there is a pool and some of my friends could see my Legos. Instead, we are having it at a park that I have never been too. Well, let’s get back to the week. When I am doing school work I try really, really hard to get all of the questions right. But every time I at least get one or two answers wrong. Then I think to myself I will try harder on the next question. No good. Next try, no good. But at the end of the day at least I tried. Well every morning I walk Shadow. He is a toy poodle, very small, barks a lot and that drives Mom crazy. I think he barks at the air. Sometimes after I am done with my school work I fly my brother’s kite. The reason why I am flying my brother’s kite, is because mine flew away. I tried to chase it but it flew over the river. There’s a sign that says not to swim in the river, so I watched it fly away. I think it did not like me. On Sunday after my pastor preached his message we went over to his house to celebrate Dalyn’s birthday and my birthday at the same time. I think that it is really cool that we get to celebrate our birthdays together because he and I are best friends. I like the times when I can just sit and talk with my friends about stuff that is cool. This week was fun. Thank you for reading my blog. Chow, see you later.

Fun With Aunt Jessica and Uncle Bobby – By Veronica

One Friday I was going down to Morro Bay. I was excited more than ever. When we got there I was very happy. So the first week we were down there, we went to a drive in movie. We watched Despicable Me. I had popcorn and a chocolate bar. I had never been to a drive in movie. It was cool as a pool. I met my friend Libby and her cousins. They were very nice. They taught me how to climb a tree. The drive in movie was great. One time when it was my friend Olivia’s birthday party it was fun and I really wanted a birthday party after the one we just had.  When we went to the real birthday, they had a jump house! We had chips, we had hot dogs. We had cupcakes. We jumped in the bounce house. And they had a piñata.

One Thursday, we went fishing. I caught nothing but my brother Jesse did catch a couple of eels. One was too small so we put it back in the water. Then Uncle Bobby caught what was called a sea slug and it inked all over his hand. Then when we were finished he showed us how to clean fish. Then we went to bed. I went to Libby’s house the next day, I was having a sleep over. I love sleep overs. I watched a movie then I stayed up till midnight then I went to bed. The next morning I went to get my stuff then I went to day on the lawn.  There was a jump house there too. My mom and dad came down then I had lunch with them. After a while we left.

Fun With Aunt Jessica And Uncle Bobby – By David

We left on Friday the 8th to Aunt Jess’ house. We had lots of fun. We did lots of fun things. We went to a birthday party on a Saturday. We played in a bounce house for a while. We had hot dogs and chips. I don’t remember if it was before or after the cake, but anyways, we also did a pinata.

We also went to a drive-in movie theater. We watched the movie Minions. It was a funny movie. And during the movie, we had candy, and we got to sit in the back with our sleeping bags and pillows.

I made new friends from church. Their names were Asher and Elisha.

We went fishing with Uncle Bobby and Aunt Jess. Uncle Bobby caught a fish and a sea slug, Jesse caught two eels. We put the sea slug and the baby eel back in the water. When we went back to the house, Uncle Bobby showed us how to clean the fish, and the eel. But we clean the eel differently than the fish.

One of my favorite things was our sleep-over at Logan’s house. But when we got there he was asleep. So we played with Alex instead. But in the morning we played with Logan. We also got ready to leave. We went to The Day On The Lawn. We played with our friends. Then, we went home. It was a fun month.

Fun at Aunt Jessica and Uncle Bobby’s by Jesse

Jesse’s Blog July 12 – August 7

(Since I missed all of my weekly blog’s I am putting them all together to make a month blog). This month has been a fun month and we worked a lot this month too.  We (my Dad had to work so that is why he is not going) packed our stuff to go to our Aunt Jess and Uncle Bobby’s house which was four hours away. We arrived safely to their house. We stayed there for three days. And on Sunday (the last day we were there) after church we went over to Aunt Jess and Uncle Bobby’s house. Mom was there and she said we can stay there for the month. I was excited about what Mom just said. Aunt Jess and Uncle Bobby were excited to.

Aunt Jess babysits three kids named Jackson, Spencer and Ethan. Ethan belongs to Aunt Jesse’s sister Mrs. Britney and Mr. Lane. I like their little cheeks when they laugh. I like playing with them and they like playing with me. And almost every morning I gave Jackson a hug before I started my day. Jackson likes me the most out of the three of us kids.

That was how we stayed there for a month. And I’m going to name all the fun things we did. In the first week we went to a drive in movie to watch minions. We got some candy on the way. Logan was there with his family (Logan is my friend). My brother, Logan and I laid in the back of the truck with pillows and blankets while Veronica was with Libbie. Aunt Jess and Uncle Bobby were sitting on chairs in the back of the truck with us. The movie was funny and I was laughing at some of the gibberish words the minions spoke. It was getting late and it was getting colder. When the movie finished we went home. That was a fun day. And the other fun day is the birthday we went to it was Olivia’s birthday she is a friend of Logan’s. It was fun jumping on the bounce house and playing with Savanna, Olivia, Logan, Libbie, David and Veronica. We ate hot dogs and chips and we hit the pinata. Olivia opened her presents. It was a fun birthday party.

The other fun thing we did was go fishing. We went fishing with Uncle Bobby and Aunt Jess. I caught two eels after a long time and Uncle Bobby caught a bass. We put the fish and eels in a bucket and took them home. Uncle Bobby taught us how to gut a fish. You start at the hole on the bottom of the fish and go to the end of it. And I was scared when the fish wiggled even though it had its head cut off. I learned that when it had its head cut off it still had electricity in its body. That was a fun fishing day. The other thing we did was work. We helped set up day on the lawn for the church we were going to. We vacuumed and after we did a few more things I played with Asher and Elijah (Those are my friends that were at the church). We got into a water fight, we had fun.

Aunt Jess and Uncle Bobby were fun. Uncle Bobby did magic tricks and Aunt Jess is kind, and she tells us a lot of cool stuff. She is funny and I like her a lot. Well the last day was the day on the lawn. Mom and Dad came to day on the lawn. Day on the lawn was very fun. They had singing and a bounce house. There were other kids there. Logan was there and Asher and Elijah too. I played catch the flag with my friends and other kids. Adults and kids sang on the stage to the people that were sitting on chairs. Day on the lawn ended and we said good bye to all of the people we knew.
