Happy Days…

It’s been a fun last few weeks for me and my family. We arrived at Sturbridge Massachusetts (in a Thousand Trails Park) not knowing that one fulltime family, the Barrys was already there. When the Thousand Trails employee led us to our site I was excited when I saw their trailer because it meant that we would have friends to hang out with. And that’s just what I did once my school work was done. I got frustrated when I was stuck on this one problem, only one problem! Then, another family: the Dosties, came to stay because they knew we and the Barrys were here. So we had fun, and we had a fire. Roasted marshmallows. The kids didn’t stay at the warm fire, we just all went to the dark playground. Our laughs and screams and whatever else noise we made went into the chilly night. Then it was time to start going back to our own campers with plans of seeing our friends tomorrow. And thanking the Lord for another day to live, and enjoy life with him. Well, even though I sleep all through the night, I am still sleepy in the morning. The mornings on the east coast are cold. When you go outside when the sun is coming out it looks like everything is smoking, because of the dew. During our stay in the RV Park we got to tour a military base with our friends. We got to see and climb into a Blackhawk helicopter. The Blackhawks they had, had the red crosses on them and were only used for medical purposes. But Blackhawks without the Red Cross on them can also be used for war. We saw another helicopter called a Chinook. It can carry up to 33 troops or 24,000 pounds of cargo. We got in it and you can stand straight up, well almost, my Dad can’t for he is tall. We also saw some vehicles like the Humvee, which my favorite thing about it was it had bullet proof windows. I got to get into a big army truck that can carry troops and other supplies. And an interesting fact is that the army vehicles don’t have keys, they only start with a press of a button so it makes it easy to steal one. So they chain the steering wheel so it can’t move. I had an interesting day, and enjoyed all of it.  Well, on the last day in Sturbridge with our friends, we made the most of it. Having fun and eating donuts, and hanging out in the lodge. Well we said goodbye knowing we would see them again. Our current destination is in Timothy Lakes. Thanks to all those who read my blog, I hope you enjoy it.
