Let’s catch up a bit on our adventures…
October 5-11
This week we did a lot. The first day of this week we spent our last day with our friends (because we were leaving the next day). We played, and about around two we went over to their camper and had ice cream cookie sandwiches to celebrate one of our friend’s birthdays. We almost played with one another for every second of the day, except for lunch and dinner. We played all the way until bed time. The next day we packed the trailer with all our stuff from outside. Then Dad and Mom hitched the trailer to the truck, and we pulled out of the campsite. We left Wilderness lakes and drove about a hundred miles to Oakzanita.

When we got there Mom and Dad parked the fifth wheel and then we set up camp. The next morning which was Wednesday it was super cold. It was so cold I put on pants, shirt and a jacket. But it got hotter as the day went on and I was hot in my pants. On Friday I finally finished my Lego pirate ship (it was minifigure scale). I was proud of myself for what I had done. The next day we went to the lodge that was in the camp ground. It had over 30 puzzles, a tv you could watch for one hour, board games and books to read. And it so happened that we were there to do a craft, because the lodge has schedules for activities. And we were the only ones there. After the craft I was working on a puzzle that was already out on the puzzle table. That was a cool lodge to be in. And on Sunday we did not go to church because we were all sick, so that was not much fun. Well that is all for this week, and I can see the next one will be better.
October 12-18
This week was an interesting week. On Wednesday we went to the Creation Earth History Museum.

A dinosaur was about to eat My sister. Then she bowed to it and it did not eat her, (I’m just kidding). We entered in and we were waiting for our friends to come, because we were meeting them there and experiencing the Museum together. The first thing we did was the Tabernacle Theater, it was a presentation about the tabernacle. And this Museum was bible based, so there was not anything in there that was evolution based, there was stuff that was explaining how evolution was not real. The cool thing I liked was the model of the Tower of Babel, what man thinks it looked like. And did you know that the Roman Empire was the biggest empire in the world. Also there was this thing that told how many heart beats you have in a minute, mine was 88. There was a lot of cool information. So if you have not been to the Creation and Earth History Museum go when you have the time. And after we were done with the museum we had a picnic and played with our friends at a park. After a long time of playing we left. But we would be seeing them on Saturday at a pumpkin patch. We could not wait till Saturday, and soon enough it came. We went to the pumpkin farm. We arrived and waited for our friends. They came and we started looking around. There were animals, food, stores, pumpkins and a lot of people. As we walked together with our friends, many pictures were taken and we laughed and had a jolly time together. When we had to leave, we did not whine because we knew if we whined there would be a little chance we would see our friends again. That was a day that would stay in my memory forever. On Sunday we tried the church in the lodge. It was fine to me. And after church we stayed and did a puzzle. And we pretty much played the rest of the day, because there was no evening church at the lodge. That is all I have to tell you for this week.
October 19-25
This week has been fun. The first day of this week was normal, we did laundry day which of course I do not like. But of course at the end of all the work it is good to have clean clothes. On Wednesday we went to the Fleet Science center. When we arrived and we paid to go in it had a lot of cool experiments. The first thing we tried was the heart monitor, it told me how many beats my heart makes, it was 88. The next thing we did was slap the wall to make music, when you tapped the wall it made music. Then a machine took a picture of our face and we put other noses and ears that were on the screen to make a different face on us. Then the other thing I did was a boat race that slid down different boards. Did you know that you have over 100 cells in your body? Then we moved onto a part of the science center that was about our body. Did you know that you nerve tissue consist of two types of cells, one is called Neurons and the other is called Gorals. And did you also know that the muscles throughout your body and your heart are made of muscle tissue. There are many different tissue throughout your body, some are even on your skin. There are even smaller stuff that goes through tiny sells. I learned more cool stuff in the body section. After the body section we did other experiments. Did you know that in order for a bird to fly it has to overcome its own weight with gravity? Then we went to a show that was going to be messy. When everybody came we sat and watch. He used chemicals I don’t know how to pronounce and then he put red food coloring in it and he put one last thing in and it blew up. Then I thought that would be a great thing for a volcano. After we were done with the Fleet Science Center we walked across from the Science Center into the Natural History Museum. The First thing I saw was a Redwood tree stump.

It was taller than my Dad and was wider than the front of our truck, it fell down after 654 years. After Mom and Dad paid the next thing I saw was a pendulum. Did you know the pendulum direction of swing does not spin with the Earth? The next thing I saw was a sculpture of an Albertosarus, an Albertosarus uses its big jaws and big teeth to capture its prey.
Have you ever wondered what those small arms are on a T rex is for, it’s still a mystery today? The next dinosaurs I saw was a Lambeosaurus, a Lambeosaurus uses its two strong limbs to escape its predators. And did you know that you can learn a lot from a fossil that was thousands of years old. There was this other room that had a cool fact, it said that deer run on their toes. Other rooms had fossils of sea lions, sea dinosaurs, interesting shells, prehistoric animals such as a saber tooth skull and really other cool stuff. The room I most liked was the top fourth floor. It had pictures of all kinds of bugs. My favorite was the Blaze of Bees. The 3rd floor had skulls of all sizes some big, small and tinier than a big bread crumb. The last room we were in was supposed to be looking like a dessert. It had interesting facts like a cactus can hold water in its core to survive the years of drought. And I spin a wheel and it landed on a weasel, so Dad said I was a weasel. And I listened to sounds of bats of all kinds. There was a man made home that was for ground owls, I thought that was pretty cool. Then I saw a skull of a whales head, it was bigger than our truck. Then after we were all satisfied with all the information given to us we went to eat our lunch and the headed home. And I learned a lot that day, and I want to come back when I can. And on Friday we went to the gold mine. We actually saw real gold when we were in the shop. And we went through the gold mine cave. We had fun. We panned for gold in troughs. After a cool day in the cave (it was cold in the cave) we went home. On Sunday we went to the church in the lodge. We had a hour service. Then I tried to finish the thousand piece puzzle that was on the puzzle table in the Lodge because we were leaving tomorrow. I did not finish it. But after dinner on Sunday we watched Princess Bride for a movie. Then we went to bed. Well that was our week. It was a learning fun week. I hope you all like my blogs. I appreciate your comments on my blog, my Mom reads them to me.
October 26 – November 1
On Tuesday this week we woke early to pack up the trailer so we can go to our next stop, called Palm Springs. After we ate breakfast and packed our bikes, chairs, a table and our dog’s pen when all the loading was done Mom and Dad hooked the trailer up and I emptied the sewer with the help of Dad. After the sewer we drove 4 hours to Palm Springs. When we arrived at the park there was a lot of palm trees. It was hard for Mom and Dad to park the trailer with the palm trees in the way. But they did it. After we unpacked the trailer we ate dinner and I went to bed early because I was tired. The next day was shopping day. We went shopping at WinCo. We got everything we needed. We have been going to Winco for about five years, I guess. On Thursday after my school work I used the bark that came off the palm trees to build a little hut for a wild rabbit. When it was almost finished I went to bed. On Friday morning the half built hut fell down because of the heavy wind last night. It is so windy at Palm springs that when the wind blows dust comes with it. On Friday night at the Lodge in the RV Camp there was a movie and popcorn. Since it was Halloween season we watched Casper. It was a good movie for me. I liked the end when Casper turns into a human and walks down the middle of all the teenaged kids and all the kids were looking at him because he was so handsome. And the best thing about that is that we were the only ones at the movie. On Saturday we went to the lodge to go to a craft. There was four different crafts. One was coloring one was making, the other was a spider with a lolly pop and some pipe cleaners. The third one was cutting and putting stickers on the cut out paper. And the Fourth one was making cookies and eating them, and watching a movie during all of this. Those crafts were good and we went home and showed Mom who’s head was hurting. Mom said she liked them. On Sunday, we visited a Sister church in Coachella. We met old friends and we met some from church camp we went to a few years back. After a good preaching of the pastor and a few songs we went home. And that night after eating grilled cheese sandwiches and soup we watched RV for movie night. And that was all for the week.
November 2-8
This week has been fun for me, I met these two boys that were in Palms Springs. They were really nice and fun to be around. I played pickle ball with them, they taught me how to play because I did not know how the game went. Then after a couple of good games of pickle ball I asked my Dad if we could play shuffle board, he said yes and we three went over to the shuffle board area. I had fun playing with the boys and at the same time I learned a lot about them. Then it was time for dinner, so I said goodbye and went to eat dinner. On Tuesday we went to Joshua Tree National Park. It was spectacular, I saw different kinds of plants like the Cholla Cactus, Creosote Bush, Mojave Yucca which is the Joshua Tree and many others. The Cholla Cactus has a lot of spikes that are very easy to go in but really hard to come out. We saw little wild life such as a darkling beetle, a lizard and a ground squirrel. Lizards have to lay in the sun to get warm, because they can’t control their body heat like we do. Did you know that the bighorn sheep climbs the rocky hills to escape danger and his enemies? The best thing about Joshua tree that I liked was the Keyes View. It was amazing it showed on a sign where Palm Springs was and I could see the city below. It was just another of one of God’s majestic creations, imagine how much more beautiful heaven would look like. You should go see it yourself so you can experience it. And that was a fun day at Joshua Tree. On Wednesday after my school work and grocery shopping and my chores, I played pickle ball with my Dad. He beat me of course, and the highest I got was two out of eleven, but never the less I had fun. Then after pickle ball we had a good dinner of potatoes covered with melting cheese, some bacon, sour cream and baked beans. On Thursday we went out to hunt down thrift stores to get me and my siblings clothes for winter. We went to about six different thrift stores. When we thought we found the right size of clothes we tried them on and they did not fit. But we kept on searching. But we first stopped for lunch at a Chinese buffet, it had all the Chinese food I liked. After a delicious mixture of Chinese food we kept on looking. Eventually we found all the clothes we needed except pants for me, we were going to do it another day because we all wanted to go home. On Friday we went to bingo at the lodge, I won four times and got four different kinds of M & Ms. Then later at the lodge we went to see a movie, I met my friends that I played pickle ball with earlier on in the week. We watched “Second Hand Lions”, it was a good movie that made you laugh. But the next night we came back for another movie in the lodge. It was called “Parental Guidance”, It was so funny that you would laugh your pants off. This was a fun week for me and I loved it, and I hope all you readers like my blog. Thanks for taking the time to read it. See you all next week.
