Last few days in Delhi…by Jesse

August 24-30

We are still at the RV Park in Delhi. This week has really fun. On Monday morning I used my fishing pole that Mom and Dad got me. I woke up at 6:30 to go fishing with the security lady. She taught me how to fish with a real fishing rod. It was really hard to keep the string untangled. But I caught a bass, catfish, and three blue gills. We fished for two hours. It was really fun waiting for a fish to bite the hook. After a while it was morning, so I said thank you and then left to the fifth wheel.

The same day Dad took us three kids swimming at the pool. It was perfect weather to go swimming. My brother took his floating Lego boat. It kind of floated but water still went on it. That was a fun day, but the other fun day was when the Salters came over. David and I tried to finish the Lego house we were building. We finished the whole house together but we did not finish the inside before they came. When they walked over we immediately played with our Legos. I showed them all that we had. We also went into the big field and played tag. We came back and forth. We had so much fun. But they only stayed until before lunch time. Mom and Mrs. Salters took pictures of us near the river. Those are the memories that will never be forgotten, all 9 of us standing there for the last time together. They left after many hugs and hugs. They drove off. I hope they felt welcomed too.

Well, then on Wednesday Mom and Dad bought us each bikes. That was awesome. But it was too hot to ride our bikes that day. But for school work we wrote a story about our bike. The next day in the morning after breakfast and we did our bible study, we three kids rode our bikes. It was fun, I was racing my brother. And I watched my sister learn how to ride her bike. He he he he. And Dad had me test our new walkie talkies by riding my bike really far away and talking in it. It worked. Now we can ride our bikes farther without Mom and Dad worrying so much.

This weekend when we had our going away party Mom was expecting about 90 people to come. Only nine adults and six kids came. It was still fun even with a little crowd. With a big crowd there would be too many people and not enough chairs, but a lot of food. The party was supposed to be a pot luck so everybody who came brought food.

See you guys in the future of my next blog.
